Wheel of Fortune

Game Description:
A really cool relay game that incorporates literacy! All that is needed for this game is bean bags with letters on them. If you do not have bean bags you can simply print and cut out letters on paper.
Objective:
Be the first group to spell a word of at least five letters.
Game Rules:
Players will split up into 4 teams for this race. Each team will get into a line and each line will face a different direction away from the circle center. The first person of each team (furthest from the center) will race around the circle (collectively created by the four lines of teams) and then crawl between the legs of their team members. That person will then grab a beanbag (with a letter drawn on it) from the center of the circle. As soon as the player returns the beanbag to his/her group, the next player from that team will start running. The goal of the game is to be the first team to spell a word (ex. at least 5 letters long) with the beanbags they have collected.
Saftey Considerations:
Make sure all players run in the same direction around the circle and are careful when crawling between the legs of the other players.
Adaptations (optional):
Print out numbers and multiplication, division and subtraction symbols to challenge the participants to make an equation!
Progression (optional):
Each round there is one less beanbag in the middle than there are players running (ie. the slowest player will not get a beanbag that round).
