Squad Tag

Game Description:
A fun running game! Who will be the fastest team?
Objective:
Try to tag all the other teams to lock in the quickest time! Stay away from the other team when they're the taggers.
Game Rules:
First outline your large playing area using lines on the floor or cones. Split the children into a few different teams, the game works best if there are at least 4 teams and there are at least 3 or 4 players on each team. Each team should be given a "home base" where they will start the game, a hoop of the same colour can be placed there to help them remember. Advise the children that to start the round you will shout out one of the teams colours. This team is the tagging team and once the colour is shouted, the leader will start the timer. The objective for the taggers is to tag all the other members from all the other teams. When somebody gets tagged, they must put their hands up in the air and walk back to their home base. The round continues until the last player is tagged and then the timer is stopped. Everyone will go back to their home base and then a new colour will be yelled out for that team to be taggers. The game continues until all the teams have had a turn to tag and the team with the quickest time are the winners!
Saftey Considerations:
Tell children to run with their head up and look where they are going.
Progression (optional):
Try playing with tails instead of tagging!
