Stand Apart and Stand Off

Game Description: 
Stand APART. A warm-up or cool-down activity which requires a great deal of team work. No equipment needed. Stand OFF. A competitive warm-up or cool-down game. Try to move your partner, if he or she moves you score a point. No equipment needed.
Objective: 
Stand APART. See how far you and your partner can get away from each other without loosing balance or falling down. Stand OFF. Try to stay still while knocking your partner off balance.
Game Rules: 
In the Stand APART game, everyone picks a partner. Each pair will stand facing each other and press their hands together. They slowly step back and see how far apart they can stand without falling over. After three tries, players pick a new partner. For the Stand OFF game, partners stand facing each other with their hands pressed together. Players score points every time they force their opponent to move their feet to balance. After three tries, players pick a new partner.

If choosing partners is an issue with your particular group the leader can assign partners.
