Tarnambi

Game Description:
Fun relay game based off an Australian school yard game.
Objective:
Try to finish the race before the other teams!
Game Rules:
Divide children into teams of at least 3. Set up two cones parallel to one another across the gym for each team, have each team line up behind the cones. The first person in each line starts with a tennis ball. They must throw the ball past the cone at the other side of the gym, once it has past the cone they must run as fast as possible to retrieve the ball and run it back to their team. The next person in line does the same. The game ends when every member of the team has completed the challenge.
Saftey Considerations:
Make sure your shoe laces are tied.
Adaptations (optional):
Have children do a different locomotor skill to retrieve the ball (jump, skip, gallop) or try throwing with their non dominant hand.
