Homemade Balance Boards

Game Description:
A great balancing activity, the equipment is homemade too!
Objective:
To stay balanced by not letting either end of the board touch the ground. To make this board simply go to you local hardware store and buy a strong wooden board. Make it look cool by using 2 different colours of duct tape and make each side of the boar a different colour. The PVC pip is also found at a hardware store.
Game Rules:
Begin by placing the PVC pipe under the middle of the board. Place one foot on at a time on each side of the board. Try to be as still as possible so that each end of the board stays off of the ground.
Saftey Considerations:
Place mats under the PVC pipe to increase the amount of friction and limit risk of injury when falling. With the little ones have your hands out for them to grab for support.
Progression (optional):
Use thicker PVC pip to increase the difficulty.
