Moving Through Hoops

Game Description:
In this activity it is time to practice your jumping, hopping and leaping!!
Objective:
The goal of this activity is to practice and learn the differences between jumping, hopping and leaping
Game Rules:
Set up hoops on the floor with enough distance in between them to make it challenging for the children yet not too far apart. Have the children move through the hoops in different ways, for example have the children jump through the first three hoops with two feet then hop in the next ones. A variety of sequences can be used to practice the skills of hopping, jumping and leaping.
Adaptations (optional):
Changing the sequence after running through it a few times keeps the children interested in the activity. Be sure to include jumping, hopping and leaping! If you have a large group more than one row of hula hoops can be set up.
