A multi-skill game with a competitive edge
Objective:
The goal of this game is to have children practice a variety of fundamental movement skills while attempting to capture the opposing teams' bean bags.
Game Rules:
Capture the bean bag is similar to capture the flag. In this game the children are divided up into even teams, each team is given a hoop on their opponent’s side with an even number of bean bags in them. The objective of the game is for one team to get all the bean bags out to the hoop on their opponent’s side. The players are safe when they're on their own side but are able to be tagged when invading the other teams side. When a child successfully dodges all the players and is able to get a bean bag they are given a safe walk back to their side. If they are tagged they must go to the designated hoop called the captured zone. In order to be free one of their team mates must run and save them. If they are saved, both players get a free walk back to their side and can begin to trying to capture bean bags again. Once a team has captured all the bean bags from the hoops the are the winners.
