Marching Around with Stars and Hearts

Game Description:
A great game to introduce left and right while working on marching and coordination. A star on the right foot and a heart on the left foot is all that is needed.
Objective:
To introduce the concept of right and left to the children. This will help when teaching advanced skills such as kicking and throwing, where we step with the opposite foot before making the kick or throw with our dominant foot or hand.
Game Rules:
Place a star on each child's right foot and a heart on their left foot. Have children march around and follow the rhythm by calling out "star, heart, star, heart".
