Poison Ball

Game Description:
A game that teaches children quick transfers, and to always be ready!
Objective:
Children forming circle: Dispose of ball as quickly as possible. Taggers: Tag player holding ball.
Game Rules:
Have all but 2 children form a circle. One of the children forming the circle has the ball. The ball is thrown around or across the circle. The 2 children outside the circle try to tag one of the children while they have the ball. When the outside child is successful they change places.
Saftey Considerations:
Remind children to always be anticipating a throw.
Adaptations (optional):
If the ball is dropped, the child who dropped it becomes a tagger and the tagger who has been out the longest takes their place in the circle.
Progression (optional):
Different ball manipulation (two hands, one hand, non-dominant hand, bounce pass).
