Bean Bag Toss

Game Description:
A very simple but effective way to practice under and overhand throwing. Bean bags, bucket or hoops is all you need.
Objective:
Work on aim and accuracy of throwing using the proper technique.
Game Rules:
Set up some hoops or buckets about 10 feet away from the child who is throwing the bean bag. Have the child toss the bean bags one at a time at the target. Instruct the child to step forward with the foot opposite to their throwing arm (if the child throws with her left arm, she will step forward with her right foot). This contralateral step is very important when learning the proper throwing and rolling technique.
Adaptations (optional):
Switch to overhand throwing.
Progression (optional):
If the game is too easy, have the children step back a few steps.
