Fun activity to engage kids in an "adult" workout!
Do the activity!
Children start by standing in a circle. One child will be the leader each round, their job is to pick an exercise or stretch for the entire group to do. While the group does this exercise, that select child will run to the wall and run back. This determines how long the group will be doing the activity. Pick a new leader each round. Examples of exercises include: jumping jacks, sit ups, push ups, dabs, arm circles, hops, jumps, stomping feet, running in place, high knees, butt kicks, different stretches, etc.
Pick exercises that are age appropriate.
As seen fit.
Connect exercises to different fitness components such as strength building, cardiovascular, flexibility, and anaerobic exercise.
