Game Description:
A fun take on grabbing tails!
Objective:
The goal of the game is to capture as many flags as you can, while keeping your two safe.
Game Rules:
Give each child two flags or pinnies, that they then tuck into the side of their waist band, or into their pockets. Place one or two hoops in the area, and designate this area as the "no go zone." All players can only have two flags at a time. When you say go all the children run around trying to grab each other's flags. If a player with two flags, ends up getting someones flag they must then take that flag and drop in it in the hoop, and no one can longer capture that flag, and it must stay there for the rest of the round. If a player has one or no flags, they can run around trying to grab someones flag, and then tuck that into their waist band. But always remember, no player can ever have more than two flags, and no one can take from the no go zone, which is the hula hoop. Play until almost all the flags have been placed in the no go zone, and start the round over again.
Saftey Considerations:
Remind children to run with their heads up, and to only grab flags and not each other's body.
Adaptations (optional):
You can also play this game without a no go zone, where all flags are up for grabs.
