Roadrunner

Game Description:
An easy to organize relay game, works great as a warmup. All you need is 1 soft sponge ball or bean bag per team
Objective:
Chase someone in the line ahead of you down and tag them with the beanbag or soft sponge ball.
Game Rules:
Divide the kids up into four teams around a large circle . Place four cones down around the circle to mark the starting points for each team. The first person in each line will run around all the way around the circle attempting to tag the runner ahead of them. Once the play runs around the whole circle he/she will hand the ball to the next person in line and go to the back of the line. Be sure to have the lines going into the circle and not outside the circle. Each time some one tags a person in the line ahead of them, signal the players to stop, give that team a point and start the race again. Alternate running clockwise and counter clockwise to avoid making the runners dizzy.
Saftey Considerations:
Shoe check, make sure the runners shoes are tied. Remind the runners that the tag must be light and not a shove from behind.
Adaptations (optional):
Have them skip, or gallop instead of run.
